In-Person Writing Group

Welcome to Writing East of the Lake - this is a group in which we write together and share (optional but worthwhile, I promise) what we've written in a focused, encouraging, and most importantly caffeinated environment. Overview: 1. 6:30 to 6:45 - Arriving, brief intros - I'll be sitting at a big table out front with a sign for this group 1. 6:45 to 6:50 - Choose from writing prompts, or do your own thing - optional prose and poetry prompts will be provided for inspiration 1. 6:50 to 8:00 - Write in companionable silence 1. 8:00 - Regroup and optional sharing - We'll get back together and (optional) share only what we've worked on in the past hour with brief comments on what we enjoyed about the piece. Since these are all works in progress, the focus isn't in-depth critique. 1. 8:45 - Group ends!
