About this event
This series was started decades ago at the University of Washington School of Art #uwsoa304 (which was unable to resume in that building since 2020). From January 15, 2023-January 4, 2026, we held sessions at Artist & Craftsman Supply Seattle (*where we will ADD an AFTERNOON session 3-6pm as of March 1, 2026*). **\*RETURNED TO #UWSOA304\*** as of January 11, 2026! Uninstructed Figure Art Weekly on Sundays 10:30am-1:30pm **PLANNING YOUR VISIT** Feel free to arrive \*through the loading dock ONLY\* between 10:00-11:00am! Exit ONLY through loading dock door (any other door will trigger a LOUD alarm to campus security). The door monitor will greet you and direct you to the elevator up to the 3rd floor, room 304. The session will start promptly at 10:30am and end promptly at 1:30pm. **CAN YOU JUST SHOW UP??** Yep, as long as you arrive between 10a-11a through the loading dock only. Exit ONLY through loading dock door (any other door will trigger silent alarm to campus security). DO NOT use Meetup RSVPs as an indicator if we are meeting or not. If we are listed, the event IS HAPPENING. 18+ or parental chaperone required. **COFFEE/SNACKS** We provide coffee + snacks for $2 + free refills **ROOM NOTES/FURNITURE/SUPPLIES** 30 is the capacity of the room. So far in January & February 2026 we've had \~20 artists each session, give or take. We’ve always had a decent mix of regulars and new artist over the years. We’ve never had to turn anyone away, so far. This top floor classroom is a bit larger than our previous venue but still can get quite cold. There ARE easels, some horses and irregular-sized boards. There are currently NO chairs in the room, and NO tables. Please DO bring your own paper + pens/pencils/paints (though no gamsol or stinky stuff, please!) Digital art is fine too...just make sure you cover any cameras with tape out of respect to the nude model. **COMMUNITY:** During breaks, guests can choose to share work with each other if they wish.
