Literature is a powerful way in which we reshape our understanding of the world and the stories we tell about ourselves. Join Deep Vellum and NAMI North Texas for a special book swap night, where we will discuss the books that have gotten us through a hard time, helped us understand an internal experience, or reframed our relationships with others. The ask is simple: bring a book to exchange that made an impact on you. This can be fiction, nonfiction, poetry, a graphic novel – truly any piece of literature that left you feeling more empowered, enlightened, or comforted by the end of the read. There will be snacks and refreshments, and a fun and meaningful discussion of why the books being swapped were so meaningful to our mental wellness. We look forward to seeing you there!
