Improv drop-in workshop: Character Creation with Dal Houtz

**\*\*\*\*\*\*Note: Change in Location\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*** We are at the Louisville Fire Station on Main St ***Join us for an instructive and fun and free workshop, Character Creation with Dal Houtz*** **Character Creation** is a playground for your imagination—a workshop where you get to build people from scratch and then let them loose in ridiculous, heartfelt, or totally unexpected scenes. In this session, you’ll experiment with voices, physicality, emotional extremes, and point‑of‑view until a character suddenly *clicks* and starts making choices you never saw coming. Through fast, joyful exercises and scene games, you’ll discover how to craft characters who feel alive, distinct, and delightfully chaotic. Whether you want to play a melodramatic pirate, a nervous barista, or a raccoon with a secret MBA, this workshop gives you the tools—and the permission—to go big, go weird, and have a blast doing it. Dal Houtz has taught Improv Boulder workshops several times. He has been a member of the Improv Boulder house team, Welcome to the Dojo (now defunct) and now performs with house team, Budget Cuts. He brings a joyful, fun vibe and a lot of Improv knowledge. This FREE workshop will be held at The Louisville Underground (inside Tilt!, under Verde) from 7-9 pm.
