IMPROV 301 (Tuesdays 10/6-11/17 @6:30pm-9:15pm)

In Level 301 students will get an introduction to playing character in improv. You’ll learn the basics of how to get into character and sustain one and explore point of view. Students will learn how to use characters in scenes and with their scene partners. This level will prepare you for 501, which is Advanced Character. Prerequisite: Level 201 Student Showcase: Sunday, November 22nd between 5pm-9pm Instructor:Paul Ronjak discovered improv in 2018 and never looked back. Since then he has trained at The KC Improv Company, The Annoyance Theatre, The iO Theater, and RISE Comedy. He has performed at festivals like Red Rocks Improv Festival and RISE Comedy Fest, blending a background in short-form games with grounded, character-driven long-form scene work. As a teacher and coach, Paul believes the best improv happens at the intersection of fun, discovery, and self-care. They encourage students to trust their instincts, follow what delights them, and create scenes that are honest. Whether coaching seasoned players or introducing newcomers to the stage, he is passionate about fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where improvisers can take risks and grow.
