Improv 201 Class - Character - with Ian Gibbs - Mondays Sept 14th

Building on our 101 curriculum (or any other improv group's beginner level class), you will learn how to create interesting characters, polish your 2-person scene work, grasp the fundamentals of pattern building, receive an introduction to UCB-style "game," and perform believable object work. Taught by long-time improviser and level 101 instructor, Ian Gibbs, this promises to be a fun learning experience! The class meets on Mondays from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, for 7 weeks starting Monday, September 14th through October 26th, 2026, with a subsequent showcase performance date TBD. The classes will be held at Unity of Boulder in Boulder (downstairs community room). Don't delay...there are only 5 open spots. He did a 2 year theater program at Circle in the Square in NYC and has trained with Second City NY, The Upright Citizens Brigade and the Groundlings. He has studied improv with Armando Diaz, Joe Bill, Micheal Gelman, Sean Conroy, Kevin Kirkpatrick and many more. He currently lives in Boulder, CO where he performs regularly with The Front DeRanged Improv Comedy Troupe, Improv Boulder House Team, Welcome to the Dojo, and the Chaos Bloom Mainstage Players Denver.
