About this event
Auburn Area Community Theatre’s Junior Performers will bring “Imagine a Dragon” to the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center this October, with performances Oct. 1-10. Featuring performers ages 5-12, the folk-rock fantasy musical offers a magical adventure for the whole family. The story follows a ragtag group of innkeepers who invent a tale about a dragon in hopes of attracting questing heroes to their struggling inn. Their plan works a little too well when princesses, heroes and other unexpected guests arrive, leaving the innkeepers to keep their story from unraveling. With plenty of humor, adventure and a little imagination, the young performers bring the fantastical story to life on stage. Evening performances will be held Oct. 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 and 9 at 6:30 p.m., with matinee performances Oct. 3 and 10 at 4 p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, 222 E. Drake Ave. in Auburn. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors and are available at AuburnACT.org.
