I Hear in My Mind / All of This Music - The Songs of Regina Spektor : A Lecture-Recital featuring students of Rachel Hanauer & Atla DeChamplain

This recital explores the music of singer-songwriter Regina Spektor through performance and discussion, led by composer/arranger/pianist Michael Kregler in collaboration with the Applied Voice students of Rachel Hanauer and Atla DeChamplain. The program will examine Spektor’s imaginative lyrics, eclectic musical influences (classical, folk, jazz, rock, and Jewish/Russian traditions), and distinctive compositional voice. Performances by amplified voice students will be interwoven with commentary on style, interpretation, and collaboration.
