Huntsville Green Thinks: Dark Sky Advocacy with Kathryn Williamson

Every month people who love the environment meet up at informal sessions formerly known as Green Drinks. This has been changed to Green Thinks to ensure everyone feels welcome, no drinking required. There’s always a slightly different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organizing network. No need to register, just come as you are! We meet on the Clinton St patio of Yellowhammer Brewing, weather permitting. This month we welcome Kathryn Williamson of Kathryn Williamson Consulting LLC and Starry Skies South to discuss the night sky, light pollution, and local advocacy in North Alabama. Kathryn has over a decade of experience in astronomy and Earth science education and outreach, including a variety of interdisciplinary projects that span art, climate action, and more. Our region includes Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina\*, and South Carolina. We welcome participants from other places across the southeastern United States, per their interest.
