Humans of St. Louis (HOSTL) shares first-person stories and photographic portraits, featuring people and places throughout St. Louis, giving its audience a look into the lives of the people in this region. Stories are focused on economic growth, racial equity, community, family, and overall well-being. Co-founder, lead storyteller, and book author, Lindy Drew, will help ground us in the power of personal stories. and how storytelling and documentary street photography are used together to help connect us all. Learn how the storytelling team approaches people to be interviewed and photographed, how the site's online following of 165,000 is invited to generate community conversations and promote civic pride, and how the team self-published their first 545-page book twice!
