The untold story of one of Marshall University’s winningest and most beloved basketball coaches comes to the big screen at the historic Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 7:00 pm. Directed by 11-time Emmy Award winner Tim Hardiman and produced by Terry Bumgarner, the documentary chronicles the remarkable rise and fall of former Marshall men’s basketball coach Rick Huckabay. Featuring interviews with former players, coaches, and Marshall legends, Huck’s Herd explores one of the most successful and controversial eras in Thundering Herd basketball history. The evening will be more than just a film premiere! Before the film, Ricky Huckabay, Coach Huckabay’s oldest son, will perform an acoustic set. Andy Huckabay, Coach Huckabay’s youngest son and Executive Producer of Huck’s Herd, and Director Tim Hardiman will give brief opening remarks to introduce the film and welcome everyone to the premiere.
