About this event

Part of MoMI LAB Programs Everyone is talking about AI agents, but most people are not aware how an agent differs from other forms of AI. This hour-long workshop offers a plain answer, with metaphors and examples from film, gaming, and other media along the way. Attendees will learn what an agent actually is, how they came about, and how to use one yourself, on your way to directing a heuristic algorithm of your own while keeping the ethics and societal implications of this new technology very much top of mind. RECOMMENDED: Basic computer use is assumed. You will get more out of the hour if you have tried a chatbot at least once. No programming or technical background is required. This program is facilitated by John Clendenen, a creative technologist at Accenture Song, who has a background in photography, computer science, and systems. Free with RSVP. Participation is limited to 25 people.
