About this event
Tools like ChatGPT and Gemini can write poetry, answer questions, and sometimes sound surprisingly human. But they can also make mistakes and present false information with confidence. So what are these systems, really, and how should we use them? In this free public lecture, Dr. Nur Ahmed of the University of Arkansas explores how AI developed, why it seems so smart, where it falls short, and how everyday people can use it more effectively. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what AI can and cannot do, along with three practical guidelines for using it well. No technical background is needed, and questions are welcome. This event will be livestreamed. Watch it here → About the presenter Dr. Nur Ahmed is an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas's Sam M. Walton College of Business, where he teaches entrepreneurship and innovation. His research examines how people, organizations, and communities can thrive in the AI era.
