About this event
This 8-week workshop meets Tuesdays starting October 20, with some exceptions. The full dates are Tuesdays, October 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, December 1, 8, and 15 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Do you ever feel like you could use a handbook for how to build a Jewish life? If you identify as Jewish or Jew-ish but aren’t sure how to incorporate Judaism into your day-to-day life, this 8-week series offers equal parts community-building and deep-dive into core lessons from our tradition to help you feel more Jewishly connected. Led by Rabbi Loren Berman, each class will take on an essential Jewish value or teaching including big topics ranging from love and relationships, social justice, unpacking what it means to be spiritual, and more. In a judgement-free space, you’ll consider how to apply these teachings to your life in a way that feels personal, meaningful, and authentic to you as you build community with others in their 20s and 30s who are curious to engage with Judaism in practical and profound ways. About Rabbi Loren Berman Guest Rabbi Loren Berman has taught and mentored at Sixth & I since moving to DC in 2023. Currently a full-time consultant in the public sector, he previously worked with Jews in their 20s and 30s at Sefaria and Moishe House. No one will be turned away from any of our classes due to lack of funds. For more information, please contact our Jewish Life Associate, Robyn.
