Stop by the Sunset Park Library for free one-on-one help for NYC renters and homeowners. Renters: Information on Rent Freeze SCRIE & DRIE Remember to bring a photo ID and proof of age, proof of household income, current and previous leases, and proof of disability for DRIE. You may qualify if you are ages 61+ or have a disability, earn $50,000 or less per year, spend more than one-third of your income on rent, or live in a rent-regulated apartment. Homeowners: Information on Property Tax Exemptions SCHIE & DHE Remember to bring a photo ID and proof of age, proof of household income, proof of ownership and residency, and proof of disability for DHE. You may qualify if you are ages 61+ or have a disability, own and live on the property, or have a combined owner/spouse income of $58,399 or less.
