Loud Guitars, Local Makers: Our House Band Takes Belleview Station Picture a fall evening in the Denver Tech Center, a market full of local makers, and a stage where the band is made up of kids. On Saturday, September 26, the School of Rock Aurora House Band brings live music to the Fall BAZAAR at Belleview Beer Garden. Showtime is 12pm, and the set runs about two hours. It's a free family event, open to all ages, and it all happens outside. Every musician on that stage is one of our students. The House Band is a student rock band made up of some of our most committed players, and they've spent the whole season at the school learning these songs note by note. They rehearse together, fix mistakes together, and push each other until the songs hit hard. Saturday is where all that work meets a real crowd. School of Rock Aurora / DTC teaches music by putting students in bands and putting bands on stages. It's an after-school program that runs on performance, and it's open to everyone from 4-year-olds on their first instrument to adults who finally want to play for real. Families looking for music lessons in Aurora or a kids music school around Denver can walk up to our table during the BAZAAR, meet the team, and ask anything. Rock and roll doesn't survive on old records. It survives on the next generation picking up guitars, sitting behind kits and learning to own a stage.
