Homeschool Discovery Day: LEGO Foundation Challenge

Join us for a hands-on learning experience designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and discovery! Each Discovery Day features a new activity that encourages children to explore, experiment, create, and learn. Activities are designed to be engaging and appropriate for homeschoolers of all ages. Put your engineering skills to the test in this hands-on LEGO challenge! Participants will design and build a LEGO house, then see how well it can withstand simulated hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, and even meteor strikes. After each disaster test, builders will have a chance to redesign and strengthen their structures before trying again. We’ll wrap up by creating a short “Breaking News” report about the disaster and the engineering choices that helped each house survive! Age group: Juniors (8-14), Young Adults (15-17). Event type: Class.
