Norris audience favorite Bill Pack blends magic, storytelling, and history into a seasonal special program, “Holiday Magic.” Prepare to be amazed, entertained, and educated by one of the Chicago area’s most versatile performers. Born on the Southwest side of Chicago, William Pack got his first job in a magic shop at the age of 11 and started performing at 12. He graduated from the prestigious Chavez College of Manual Dexterity and Prestidigitation for stage magic. He has won numerous awards for his performances including 1st Place for Stage Magic at Abbott’s Magic Convention and 1st Place for Stage Magic at the Houdini Club of Wisconsin Convention. He is also a storyteller, Victorian séance reenactor, former card cheat, ex-casino surveillance, occasional author, and magic historian. He is known among magicians as the Chicago magic expert. He demonstrated magic for 13 years at Chicago’s Navy Pier and performed close-up magic at the legendary Schulien’s Restaurant. In 2000, he taught actor Will Smith sleight of hand for his portrayal of Muhammad Ali in the film, Ali. The legends of his Great Aunt Bernice and the ghosts he inherited from her have appeared in his modern-day spook show, Familiar Spirits. These days, he can be seen often on the stage of the Chicago Magic Lounge and performing close up magic at corporate events, company banquets, and private parties.
