About this event
Start the holiday season with ease and coordination! This experiential Alexander Technique class explores greater ease, awareness, and coordination through a continuous flow of everyday movements based on a combination of Raymond Dart’s developmental movement procedures, Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and yoga. Guided by an experienced teacher, participants move through sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, and other simple activities while noticing habitual patterns of tension and discovering new possibilities for movement. Rather than focusing on exercise or achieving specific positions, the class encourages curiosity, choice, and awareness in action, resulting in balanced body ready to take on any holiday stress. This class will meet online via Zoom on Monday 11/16, 11/23, 11/30, 12/7, & 12/14 from 8:30-9:15am ET.
