Bring a blanket, snack, and beverage and meet us at Congress Square Park to watch the silent movie, The Lodger. Description below. We'll meet there at 8pm to hang out for a little bit before the movie starts at 8:30pm. The movie runtime is 84 minutes. The park has some chairs, but I recommend bringing a lawn or beach chair if you want to be a little more comfortable. Also, dress extra warm as the night will probably get chilly. Folks always underestimate how chilly it gets just sitting outside in the spring. There are no public restrooms at the park. Movie Description: When a landlady (Marie Ault) and her husband (Arthur Chesney) take in a new lodger (Ivor Novello), they’re overjoyed: He’s quiet, humble and pays a month’s rent in advance. But his mysterious and suspicious behavior soon has them wondering if he’s the killer terrorizing local blond girls. Their daughter, Daisy (June), a cocky model, is far less concerned, her attraction obvious. Her police-detective boyfriend (Malcolm Keen), in a pique of jealousy, seeks to uncover the lodger’s true identity. This event is outdoors and weather permitting. Stay home if you're feeling ill or exposed to someone sick.
