The Churches of Havre de Grace Step inside four of Havre de Grace’s historic churches and discover the stories that go far beyond their walls. St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, St. James AME Church, St. John’s Episcopal Church, and Havre de Grace United Methodist Church have each played a unique role in shaping the community. This History Untapped evening will explore the history of the buildings, the people who built and worshipped in them, and the events that made these churches important parts of Havre de Grace history. From faith and fellowship to community celebrations, struggles, and moments of change, these churches have witnessed—and helped shape—the story of our city. Come hear the stories behind the stained glass, steeples, sanctuaries, and congregations. You may know the churches—but you probably don’t know all of their stories.
