Mezzo-soprano Megan Moore returns for her second appearance in OSL’s Visionary Sounds Series, in a program pairing the music of Hildegard von Bingen with works by Sofia Gubaidulina and Sarah Kirkland Snider. Hildegard’s texts are heard in new arrangements together with Gubaidulina’s Aus den Visionen der Hildegard von Bingen and String Quartet No. 2, and Snider’s Caritas. The program traces a line from medieval sacred song to later composers’ responses to its imagery, spirituality, and sound.
