Hike Minnehaha Gorge, Coldwater Spring, and Sea Salt

Hike from Minnehaha falls through the Minnehaha Creek gorge to the Mississippi to Mni Owe Sni (Coldwater Spring) and back. We will explore the summer wildflowers at the restored oak savannas of Owe Mni Sni. Hike at a moderate pace (18 min miles) for approximately 4.5 miles; expect stairs, other uneven ground, and a few muddy spots. We will willingly stop to admire flowers, birds, rocks, and anything else that catches hikers’ interest. Hike is on rain or shine, cool or warm, so dress accordingly. Afterwards, join with other hikers for conversation at Sea Salt. Find free street parking along Nawadaha Boulevard or choose paid MInneapolis Park lots along Godfrey Parkway.
