Herbal Medicine Making: Fire Cider Workshop

Meeting Room. Fire Cider is a classic folk remedy that herbalists and “kitchen witches” have been making for generations. It boosts the immune system, wards off colds and flu, and is an overall tonic for the body. Fire Cider is a wonderful remedy to make on your own, but even more fun to make with friends! Join Nora Toomey, Clinical Herbalist of True Bloom, for a morning of community medicine making! As we chop up our ingredients, we will learn all about this delightfully spicy and sweet remedy, including the history, the primary herbal actions and applications, and the myriad of recipe variations you can try at home! Each participant will leave with a pint jar full of Fire Cider! Registration is required as space is limited. There is an $8.00 fee for supplies to be paid in advance in cash or by check. If you are unable to attend an event, please call or email us, or cancel your registration online at least 24 hours in advance. We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise that may prevent you from attending a program you registered for.
