Henna Designs for Diwali / Arte de Henna

Community Room, 2nd Floor. Come celebrate Diwali with us! Diwali celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Returning henna artist, Tinali, will be decorating hands and/or arms as part of this celebration. Henna is applied during joyous occasions. It represents luck, beauty, and joy. Henna tattoos are temporary, but can last up to 8-10 days. First come first serve, while supplies last. This event is for Adults and Teens. There will be a Henna event for kids on November 14 at 2pm. For accessibility accommodations (ex. ASL), please fill out the online form at sccld.org/accessibility 7+days prior to the event. If you need assistance with the form, speak with a staff member at your local library, call (408) 540-3945, or email us at ask@lib.sccgov.org.
