Hemlock Falls and Orange Reservoir

Let's Walk in South Mountain Reservation. We'll start in the Tulip Springs parking lot off Cherry Ln in West Orange. We will follow the yellow trail and visit Hobble and Hemlock Falls. It will be a great time to view both falls if we get rain this week. Next, we will retrace our steps to the Reservoir Trail and walk through the woods until we reach the connector and take it down the hill to the paved path. We'll make almost 1 full loop of the lake and then follow a short trail back to the Tulip Springs parking lot. We will be walking about 3.4 miles on various surfaces in the woods and around the lake, so please wear sturdy shoes with good traction. NO SNEAKERS, please. Some will find a walking stick helpful especially when descending the connector trail. Don't forget to bring water. We will be walking for 90-120 minutes Please make sure to RSVP and arrive 5 minutes prior to start time.
