Hear Me Out: Mini-Talks on Our Art Obsessions!

Greetings! On Saturday, May 2 from 9:30am to 11:30am, the Young Artists Writers and Philosophers of Wheaton (YAWP) will be gathering to hang out, share tea and snacks, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate creativity together! We’ll begin our time with a get-to-know-you question, then transition to a time of art sharing and discussion. This week, we'll be sharing Hear Me Outs by giving mini talks on some of our unique artistic obsessions! Participants will be encouraged to share short presentations (roughly 5 minutes) related to a piece of art (book, movie, TV show, music, painting, macaroni sculpture, etc.). Your presentation can be a roast of this art, a pitch for why everyone should check it out, a deep-dive into lore, an in-depth analysis, or anything else you'd like! You can also feel free to spice up your presentation with props, handouts, sound, or a slideshow (there will be a TV available). Participants are welcome to stay as long as they'd like and to participate as much as they're comfortable. If you'd like, you can just come to watch and listen. :) We hope to see you there!
