Havenhaus Open Mic

A new comedy open mic where anyone, even YOU, can sign up to tell jokes. Show is free because a most people probably won't be that funny This is open mic comedy. This will be very funny comedians working on new material, new comics learning how to do stand-up, and bad comedians being who they are. The show is free, so the audience can't complain if the comics bomb. Some people might be funny, but we DO NOT guarantee this will be the case. Sign-up begins at 7:30 and the mic starts at 8. People who want to sign up to perform will write their name on a piece of paper and put it in a bucket and the order is chosen randomly by hosts Malcolm Castle and/or Charlie Vergos and/or any other comedians we trust with the mic if we can't make it. Comedians are given 5 minutes of stage and get the light to wrap it up at 4 minutes. Everyone is encouraged to try to be funny in a way that doesn't make women HATE being there. If they don't, their jokes will probably bomb and we'll roast their asses after their set. Mic occurs almost every Wednesday (except June 17th, July 8th, August 12th, and September 2nd, as Havenhaus still has bands booked on the calendar those nights). So come out, have a drink, and witness comics either being very funny or seeing their dreams die (jk, this is a very low-stakes situation).
