https://workshops.kentuck.org/handbuildingbasics Want to learn the basics about building pottery by hand? Join Amy Smoot in this one-day workshop all about hand building processes! Students will learn how to create pottery starting off with a 1lb pinched cup, getting tips for how to gain height and width while maintaining even walls. Next, students will learn simple slab building techniques to create a small plate or bowl with style using molds and textures to customize. And finally, students will learn how to roll and build with coils of clay to finish off the course.
