Hand Building 101

Join Amy Smoot in this 4-week ceramics class focused on hand-building! Pottery doesn't have to be thrown on the potter's wheel in order to be beautiful and unique. Hand building allows students to make at their own pace (and it's cleaner too!) Each week students will be shown a hand-building technique that they can apply to the pieces they make. We will focus on pinching, coil building, slab building, and glazing, as well as all the in-between techniques like carving, stamping, and decorating.
