Hand Broom Making

About this event

Discover the ancient craft of broom making and create a handcrafted broom to take home and put to use. Participants will work with natural broom corn and colorful cordage to create a traditional hand broom known as a Turkey Wing. The techniques taught in this workshop can also be used to make many other styles of brooms, providing a foundation for exploring this time-honored craft. This class is designed specifically for beginners with no prior broom-making experience.
