Guitar Ensemble, Vocal Jazz, Jazz Piano

Featuring the Guitar Ensemble, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and Jazz Piano, this concert brings multiple facets of KSU’s jazz performance program together on one stage. Tonight’s program is a collaboration between the Vocal Jazz, Jazz Guitar, and Jazz Piano studios in the Bailey School of Music. In addition to performances by Jazz Guitar Ensemble II and Vocal Jazz Ensemble, the program will feature student trios performing jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. Each trio performance is arranged by the students with faculty coaching. In the longstanding tradition of a jazz concert, songs will be introduced from the stage. Jazz Guitar Ensemble II is directed by Trey Wright. Vocal Jazz Ensemble is directed by Karla Harris in collaboration with Dr. Tyrone Jackson
