About this event
Mahler Park is located on the corner of SE 436TH ST and 244TH AVE SE. Learn about the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku 森林浴 or bathing in the forest atmosphere. Use the healing power of nature to promote well-being. Studies have shown that spending time in nature can have a positive impact on a person’s mental health, immune system and heart. Join certified Association of Nature and Forest Therapy guide, Kathy Holley (https://www.wellbeinginnaturenw.com/), for an introduction to forest immersion. Engage the senses and become more present during a guided low-impact walk. The walk will be along a short, relatively flat trail and will occur rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. There are no restroom facilities at Mahler Park at this time. This program is for adults. Please register. Limited to 12.
