Green Congregations at Prairiewoods Dinner

Join others interested in learning more about how their congregation or faith community can take meaningful environmental action. Do you feel called to environmental stewardship? Are you a member of a Green congregation or want yours to be more Green? Would you like to help your congregation or faith community integrate environmental stewardship and sustainability into worship, education, and daily operations? Do you or would you like to implement eco-friendly practices to demonstrate your care for the Earth and create a healthier and more sustainable future? Come to our first Green Congregations gathering and join others interested in learning more about how their congregation or faith community can take meaningful action. The gathering will include time to network, learn from each other and eat a light meal. This group will meet quarterly to provide ongoing opportunities to connect, build relationships, collaborate and create greater impact. Also, creating this intentional community will amplify the impact of the individual congregations’ efforts across our region. In partnership with Iowa Faith and Climate Network and local congregations we hope to grow our impact: Provide the resources and the inspiration for hopeful action. Encourage each other to care for creation through land stewardship and engaging in issues like water quality, biodiversity, and climate change. Strengthen a network of faith leaders working together to instill hope, take action, and grow sustainable, empowered communities. Registration is free and supported by funding from Blessed Tomorrow.
