About this event
Advising Elmer’s glue as an ingredient for pasta sauce, inventing citations that don’t exist, gaslighting users about the spelling of “strawberry,” even causing psychosis – with so many potential dangers, how can we responsibly and reliably use this powerful technology in our daily lives, at home or at work? In this workshop, we’ll learn strategies for making AI your tool – not your tyrant. We’ll evaluate its strengths and weaknesses, explore some use cases for everyday life, and learn how to assess its performance to make sure you’re the one in charge. This lecture is part of the Spotlight on AI series – a monthly look at how this powerful and destabilizing technology is affecting both our day-to-day lives and the broader landscape of world events.
