Glen Pearson Quintet

In what I consider to be a can't-miss show, pianist and educator Glen Pearson (winner of a 2024 Grammy for his work with the Count Basie Orchestra) heads up a quintet of excellent local jazz musicians well known to Meetup regulars. They will be playing a hard-swinging cross-section of jazz standards and original pieces. The band members are: Mike Olmos, trumpet Sheldon Brown, saxophone Gary Brown, bass Sylvia Cuenca, drums COST: About $26 for the concert ticket - plus a $1.00 donation to the Meetup organizer, if you haven't contributed recently to offsetting the hefty fees that Meetup charges me. (The program consists of a pre-concert talk at 7:30 p.m., followed by a 90-minute concert, running from 8:00 pm to 9:30 p.m..)
