About this event

Gladwyne Meeting Room, Gladwyne Library. Join artist-in-residence Jaye Tremille McNair for a lively discussion on the history of sewing in the United States. As an artist, educator, and curator with a deep focus on textiles, fashion design, and cultural art, McNair’s practice is rooted in honoring heritage while fostering creativity and critical thinking. With more than 15 years of experience teaching, creating, and collaborating with youth and intergenerational communities, McNair’s work emphasizes the power of sewing and fiber arts as both cultural preservation and artistic resistance®. Presentation followed by Q&A session, all ages welcome. This program has been made possible by the Philadelphia Funder Collaborative for the Semiquincentennial.
