Getting Started with AI - A Hands-On Workshop

Closter - Conference Room, Closter Public Library. Curious about ChatGPT and Claude but not sure where to begin? In 90 minutes, you'll go from watching to using AI yourself. Working in a small group with step-by-step guidance, you'll use AI to handle everyday things: plan a trip, make sense of a long document, or draft a warm note to a grandchild. You'll learn how to ask AI questions so that it can give you better answers- and learn the basic rules for staying safe online: what's fine to ask, what you should double-check, and what you should never reveal. No experience needed. No question too basic. No need to bring your own laptop. Perfect if you're brand new to all this. You'll leave with the confidence to keep exploring on your own, plus a take-home sheet of prompts to try at home. Led by Steve Birke Library Conference Room
