About this event
All children under 11 years old must be accompanied by a caregiver. This indoor presentation covers everything you need to know to get started with the world’s largest real-world treasure hunt. We’ll walk through app navigation, cache types, terminology, and best practices for finding and logging caches. Following the presentation, we’ll head outside for a guided walk to locate a real geocache nearby. Learn how to use your smartphone or GPS device to locate hidden geocaches, navigate using coordinates, and follow proper geocaching etiquette once you make a find. About the Presenters: Jean and DeWayne have been active geocachers since 2009 and are on track to find their 20,000th geocache later this year.
