About this event
In the Auditorium. Buckle up and join us at your local library as we take our genealogy assistance on the road! This program will start off with a dedicated introductory class on how to begin your family history research. After the class, you will have an opportunity to work with a staff member from the Genealogy room at Central Library to help you navigate the various genealogical resources, troubleshoot your brick wall challenges, or uncover your ancestor's story. Attendees can choose whether to attend the class and join afterward for more of the 1-on-1 assistance, or do both—benefiting everyone, regardless of experience. This Genealogy On The Road series occurs on the 2nd Friday of each month. It will start at 10am and take place at a different SLPL branch each month, so keep an eye out for when the program comes to your neighborhood branch. Below is the date and location for all of 2027. January 8: Machacek February 12: Barr March 12: Buder April 9: Cabanne May 14: Carondelet June 11: Baden July 9: Divoll August 13: Julia Davis September 10: Kingshighway October 8: Carpenter November 12: Schlafly December 10: Walnut Park
