Gary Stewart: I Am From The Honky-Tonks
A Conversation with Author Jimmy McDonough Moderated by Comedian/Actor Patton Oswalt With Performances from Jonathan Wilson & Greg Leisz The Grammy Museum is thrilled to celebrate the music of Gary Stewart in the Museum's intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater. The program will include a conversation with moderated by Patton Oswalt author Jimmy McDonough, who will be discussing his new biography, Gary Stewart: I Am From The Honky Tonks, his career as a biographer and the process behind writing the book. Utilizing the unique combination of oral history, vivid prose, and personal experience that made McDonough’s Shakey: Neil Young’s Biography a bestseller, Gary Stewart: I Am From The Honky-Tonks follows a feral Kentucky family who surfed success and rear-ended disaster in drug-soaked, 1970s Florida.
