About this event
Each year approximately 400 doctoral (and some master’s) students enroll in SU’s Future Professoriate Program (FPP), a professional development program for aspiring faculty. FPP participants are eligible to pursue the Certificate in University Teaching (CUT), a CV- and job-market-friendly credential. Yet the program encompasses many other aspects of preparation for a faculty career, including publications, grant-seeking, institutional diversity, awareness of the higher ed landscape, and more. Enrollment forms will be due from participating departments and schools/colleges by Friday, September 5. Learn more about the FPP—including how to enroll if your department or program does not formally participate—at this online info session. Glenn Wright, Executive Director of Professional and Career Development at the Graduate School and the lead administrator for the FPP campus-wide, will explain what the FPP is and how it works, review CUT requirements and the FPP stipend process, and answer your questions.
