Fun with Micro:bit and MicroBlocks

Children ages 9-14 are invited to register for this fun program where they will discover how hardware and software work together! Participants will explore physical computing using Micro:bit, a tiny computer board, and MicroBlocks, a visual block coding language. Students will use them together to learn how to make lights blink, create sound effects, utilize sensors, and write code to navigate a small programmable car. Free. Pre-registration required. Participants must bring a laptop or Chromebook with a USB-A port or a MacBook with a USB-A adapter. If you have a question about a device, please direct it to Randall Studstill, randall.studstill@sjlibrary.org. This program is brought to the West Valley Branch Library by teen volunteers from the Prospect High School Robotics Club.
