About this event

**FULL HARVEST MOON of SEPTEMBER!!!** Sunday, September 27th - Gathering at 7pm - Ritual by Katy Star at at 7:30pm The Moon is the most important heavenly body to witches. We draw on her power for lunar magic. We cast our spells in accord with her cycles. She inspires and illuminates us. The Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the fall equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. Historically in the mid-Northern latitudes the bright full moon at this time of year allowed farmers to have extra time in their fields to gather their harvest. Often, the Harvest Moon seems to be bigger or brighter or more colorful than other full moons. This is a month of hearth and home. Spend some time preparing your environment for the upcoming chilly months. Use this time to clear out clutter -- both physical and emotional -- before you have to spend the long winter days. **SEPTEMBER CORRESPONDENCES:** Harvest Moon (September) Also known as: Wine Moon, Singing Moon, Sturgeon Moon, Haligmonath (Holy Month), Witumanoth (Wood Month), Moon When Deer Paw the Earth Nature Spirits: trooping faeries Herbs: copal, fennel, rye, wheat, valerian, skullcap Colors: brown, yellow-green, yellow Flowers: narcissus, lily Scents: storax, mastic, gardenia, bergamont Stones: peridot, olivine, chrysolite, citrine Trees: hazel, larch, bay Animals: snake, jackal Birds: ibis, sparrow Deities: Demeter, Ceres, Isis, Nephthys, Freyja, Thoth Power Flow: rest after labor; balance of Light and Dark.
