Fuck it. I create. — An Eastside Experiment in Taste & Creativity

Seattle has plenty of events. This time, let’s gather on the Eastside. There has been so much AI noise lately. I want us to be human beings again: to play, connect, and create. AI can make derivatives. Taste grows when we pay attention to life with our own senses. If you’ve been a good student all your life but freeze when there’s no assignment or right answer; if you want to create but feel stuck between grinding harder and giving up; if you’re tired of living for work, come join us. In this workshop, we will create a safe space together to ground, connect, forget, and create. You will be asked to take off your social mask, face your fear, get comfortable with uncomfortable moments, and tap into your creative potential. We’ll do hands-on exercises together. I designed the beginning with introverts in mind, so everyone can get familiar with the room before we go further. Everyone participates. We’ll also talk about taste. What actually feels good? What only looks impressive but feels hollow? Your own taste grows when you notice, feel, choose, and make. I’m Carl Liu, founder of Seattle Club Awakenings, a product leader, and a former Pokémon GO product lead. I studied at Cornell and Stanford. This series draws on ideas from Stanford d.school and my own life experience.
