Po-Chen Chang, cello Nocturne by Candlelight The series’ annual candlelight concert tradition continues – with hundreds of LED candles illuminating MacArthur Recital Hall – cello instructor Po-Chen Chang’s program will explore nocturne-themed pieces from a variety of traditions and styles, spanning from the Romantic lyricism of Chopin to the enchanting melodies of Disney, to Eastern musical landscapes. The warm glow of LED candles will enhance the intimate and dreamlike atmosphere, inviting the audience into a world of reflection and imagination. This performance is designed not only to showcase the expressive range of the cello but also to create an immersive experience for the audience.
