From Beyond The Grave 2026 Friday – Sunday, Oct. 16-18th | 5:30 pm | Trails & Rails Museum at The Kearney Cemetery Step into the living past of notable figures from Kearney’s past are brought to life by friendly reenactors. Beginning each evening at 5:30 PM, this unique program brings local history to life as community volunteers portray early Buffalo County residents laid to rest in the cemetery. Through carefully researched first-person narratives, attendees will hear the stories of pioneers, families, and community members whose lives helped shape the region we know today. While specific individuals for this year’s program are still being selected, guests can expect a compelling and meaningful experience that highlights the diverse voices and histories found within Buffalo County. Wear some good walking shoes and bring a lawn chair, you’re in for a treat! Admission is by free will donation, with proceeds supporting the Buffalo County Historical Society and the Trails & Rails Museum.
