About this event

Not heading home for Thanksgiving this year, or just want a second one with friends? Join us for a cozy Friendsgiving potluck! We’ll have a deep fried turkey, a table full of everyone’s favorite dishes, music by the fire pit, games, and good company all afternoon. After we eat, we’ll curl up for a feel-good movie. This one is a laid-back social day with lots going on, so come hang out! Vibe: Doors open at noon, and we’ll eat around 2. Until then, it’s an easy hangout all over the house. Help out in the kitchen, grab a drink and relax by the fire pit with some music, or play some games in the family room. After dinner we’ll put on a movie, and you’re welcome to stick around and hang out into the evening. Games: We’ll have board games and some easy, pick-up-and-play video games going in the family room for anyone who wants to jump in. No experience needed, and feel free to bring a favorite game to share! Potluck: I’m deep frying the turkey. Everyone else, bring a dish to share! Sides, rolls, cranberry sauce, gravy, desserts, and drinks are all welcome. Please comment below with what you’re bringing so we get a good mix. The full kitchen is open if you need to cook, reheat, or finish something here. Bring a container if you’d like to take some leftovers home. Movie: After dinner, we’ll cozy up with something cute and fun, think a Disney classic, a rom-com like Enchanted or Mean Girls, or a Studio Ghibli favorite like Kiki’s Delivery Service. It’s viewer’s choice on the day, so drop your pick in the comments! We’ll be watching on the big screen with a 4K laser projector and 5.1 surround sound. Bean bags, pillows, or blankets are welcome if you want to get extra cozy. Food & Drinks: This is a BYOB event, and there’s fridge space for your drinks. Clothing: Cozy fall layers and stretchy pants are recommended, plus a hoodie for the fire pit. As always, there’s no dress code. From cat ears to alt fashion to a firefighter helmet for the turkey…
