Friday the 13th with The Wet Stetsons

The Wet Stetsons are a string band of the folk/jamgrass-country-splash variety. They mix classic country western sound with high energy bluegrass fused with funky cosmic jams. The formation of The Wet Stetsons began with Louis Slota and Andrew Simser. After a front porch pickin’ session, they decided to shotgun a few Old Mils and there was a slight misfire and Lou’s Stetson hat became completely drenched in Old Mildew! Andrew yelled out “The Wet Stetsons” and the rest is history. The rest of the band was forged when Jeffrey Johnson joined in with his banjo for front porch acoustic sessions that would occur at his home often. Later on, Louis and Jeffrey were at a birthday at Riverview Beach where they met Jayson Minor. Jayson ran home to grab his doghouse bass and they had a jam session on the beach. The Wet Stetsons have been pickin’ and grinnin’ across the state of Wisconsin for 4 years and are planning on hitting the road in 2027 to promote their debut self titled album.
