On the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, there will be a free movie matinee in the Library’s Community Room. The movies, all curated by Librarian Linda Reimer, are selected with adult viewers in mind. No need to sign up, just show up. This Month’s Matinee Movie will be: Hamnet, based on the novel by Maggie O’Farrell and directed by Chloé Zhao, starring Jesse Buckley (in an Oscar winning performance) and Paul Mescal. Released in 2025, the film is rated PG-13 and runs 2h 5m. The Plot: In late 16th-century England, Agnes, a healer sensitive to the world around her, builds a home with William, a local tutor and aspiring playwright. As their lives fracture, they are tested by distance, silence, and grief.
